Concord UMC

In the recent weeks, Concord church has had a number of opportunities to embrace and support our children and youth. This began far earlier when our church council had the foresight to establish a position of Children and Youth Pastor and to provide the necessary funds to fill the position. It was God’s provision that Nate Hester joined our ministry team and began investing himself with our precious young ones. The recent events of confirmation and the children’s worship service were wonderful milestones in the life of our church. I count it such a blessing to be part of a congregation that values its young people. It takes patience, it takes love and nurture, and it takes support, but it is well worth the investment. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way they should go, even when they are old they will not depart from it.” It is important to train up our children and to continue to share the Good News from Generation to Generation.
